Take a Look at the World I See: When Even God Introduces Himself with Mercy

In a world that values power and performance, discover how Allah's introduction in the Qur'an—Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem—reminds us to lead with mercy, not ego.

THE WORLD I SEE

Let me pipe up real quick.

If you or I had to introduce ourselves, we’d probably start with what we do. Our job. Our hustle. Our title. Something that proves we’re solid.

But when Allah introduced Himself in the Qur’an— He didn’t say He’s the Creator. Didn’t say He’s All-Knowing. Didn’t list His power, even though He owns all of it.

He said: Ar-Rahman. Ar-Raheem. The Most Merciful. The Most Compassionate.

That’s what He chose as His first words to us. That’s the energy He wanted to start with.

Not dominance. Not status. Not fear.

Mercy. Compassion.

And that hit me. Hard.

Because we live in a time where being loud means being heard. Where being cold is mistaken for being strong. Where love is often held hostage by pride.

But Allah—the One who actually could flex on everyone— chose to lead with gentleness.

He didn’t need to. He just wanted to.

That’s not weakness. That’s divine love. That’s the humility of a Lord who knows us better than we know ourselves.

And it makes me wonder: If the Creator of the galaxies led with compassion, what excuse do I have not to?

Why do we introduce ourselves with walls and warnings, when God introduced Himself with open arms?

This is your reminder: You don’t have to prove yourself to be loved. You don’t need to have it all together to return.

Allah already knew your flaws—and still led with mercy.

Remember, we all carry something—
but here, you don’t have to carry it alone.
