Let me pipe up real quick.
You got thoughts crossing your mind all day long — some good, some bad. And maybe you’re feeling like you’re doing alright because you’re holding back. You’re not falling into every trap. You’re not doing the things you know will mess you up.
But let me be honest with you — all you’re really doing is not doing.
There’s a word we throw around a lot: integrity. Like it’s some unbreakable shield you put on and forget about. But the truth? Integrity wears down every single time you avoid doing what you said you would. Every time you promise yourself you’ll step up tomorrow — then don’t. Every time you settle for comfort instead of challenge.
Just because you don’t do anything bad doesn’t mean you’re winning. Not screwing up is the bare minimum. It’s not a trophy. It’s not a pass.
If you’re not pushing yourself to do the good — risking failure, speaking your truth, building something that lasts — then you’re stuck. You’re laying flat in the dirt, lifeless and barren. You’re wasting your chance to grow.
Think about it. What good is avoiding sin if you’re just sitting still, waiting, hiding, refusing to act? Temptation isn’t only the pull to do wrong. It’s every thought that tries to move you — to do something, to be something.
You should give in to temptation — but the right ones. The ones that push you to build, to love, to forgive, to grow.
Don’t fool yourself by thinking “I’m okay because I’m not falling down.” Growth is about more than standing still. It’s about stepping up, stepping out, even when it’s hard.
So ask yourself: what are you really giving in to? What temptations are you feeding? Because that choice is what shapes your life.
Remember, we all carry something, but here you don’t have to carry it alone. Pipe Up!
