PRAYERS AND DUA

Some losses don’t come with funerals.
Some goodbyes don’t come with closure.
Sometimes what haunts you isn’t what you buried—
it’s what slipped through your fingers and still lingers in your chest.

You lost something.
Maybe someone.
But it’s not really gone, is it?
It’s in the backseat.
In the smell of old clothes.
In the silence of your phone.
It’s in the toy they left behind,
the name you still whisper,
the room you haven’t touched.

So here's my dua—
from one heart to another:

Ya Allah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem,

You are the Turner of hearts and the Healer of wounds.
I come to You not just because I lost something,
but because I’m still gripping what I no longer have.

I can’t let go—not because I don’t trust You—
but because this pain became a part of me.
It grew roots.
It settled in the corners of my soul where my joy used to live.

Ya Allah,
teach me how to mourn without worshiping my grief.
Let me honor what I lost
without building a shrine that traps me inside it.

Make space in my chest again.
Not to forget—
but to make room for what’s next.
A breath. A sunrise. A second chance.

Give me softness where I’ve gone hard.
Give me tears where I’ve gone numb.
Give me surrender where I’ve only had resistance.

Let me finally set down
what I was never strong enough to carry anyway.
Let me love without chaining myself to loss.
Let me walk forward without guilt.

Because everything I ever had was Yours to begin with.
And You are too Merciful to leave me empty forever.

Ameen.

Remember, we all carry something, but here you don’t have to carry it alone. Pipe Up!
